Get Married for Free on Valentine's Day
Celebrate love by getting married for free on Valentine’s Day at the Bexar County Courthouse with four ceremonies offered on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Couples can tie the knot on the courthouse steps as part of this longstanding tradition.
Two block parties, including one on the night before the ceremonies, will add to the celebration. On Feb. 13, from 9 p.m. to midnight, the Main Plaza Conservancy will host a Newlywed Block Party.
On Valentine’s Day, County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark will conduct ceremonies at 12:01 a.m., 10 a.m., noon (followed by a Newlywed Block Party), and 2 p.m.
While the ceremonies are free, a $20 donation to the Bexar County Family Justice Center is suggested. Marriage licenses, costing $80, must be obtained 72 hours before the ceremony.
The Bexar County Clerk’s Office, open Monday-Friday, offers extended hours on Wednesdays until 5:45 p.m. Don’t miss the opportunity to join the celebration of love on Valentine’s Day at the Bexar County Courthouse.
Be My Valentine 5k Run/Walk
