Art is all around us-- everywhere we look, we see and are moved by images, sounds and smells. Recognizing, celebrating and creating art wherever it occurs-- through visual means such as paintings and photographs, through sound by partnering with local musicians and bands, and even through food, by enjoying the art of simple, healthy foods beautifully plated and presented-- is the primary goal of SMART. Throughout the month of March, The Emily Morgan Hotel and SMART will be celebrating art in San Antonio-- join us for one or all of the following events, and remember: An art city is a SMART city!
Please Note: Most events in this series are free and open to the public, but some events will require an RSVP and small donation. All proceeds will benefit SMART and its programming throughout San Antonio. Details on RSVP only events and sign-ups coming soon.

Wine Tasting and Live Music at ORO Restaurant and Bar Featured Musicians: The L&Ms (Emily Morgan House Band) The L&Ms are Larry Horwitz, Mike Kropp and Mike Young. Each are "seasoned" musicians, playing since childhood. Having played it all, the three now bring their voices together over the sweet sounds of fine acoustic guitars. Check out their website here. |

Wine Tasting and Live Music Featured Musicians: Chuck Kerr and Chris Maddin Kerr, drummer for several projects including We Leave at Midnight and Marcus Rubio and the Gospel Choir of Pillows, and Maddin, lead singer of Blowing Trees, were named 2010's Best Cover Band by readers of The San Antonio Current. Their repetoire ranges from obsessively-exact takes on David Bowie to Radiohead. |
