The Historic Majestic Theatre
The Majestic Theatre is one of the most architecturally stunning buildings in San Antonio and hosts some of the best concerts and performances in the city. Built in 1929, the Majestic Theatre was for many years the second largest movie palace in the US. Like many other movie palaces constructed at the time, it was ornately designed and decorated; however unlike the nearby Aztec Theatre with its exotic theme, the Majestic Theatre was based on the architecture of the Mediterranean region and the Baroque period. These classical influences served to transport patrons to Old Europe in all its grandeur. Today, after millions of dollars of renovation and expansion, the Majestic still stands as one of the most spectacular buildings in San Antonio, Texas.
From Broadway musicals to comedy stars like Jerry Seinfeld to music legends like B.B. King, the Majestic Theatre has continually hosted some of the greatest performances in San Antonio history. As such, pre-theater diners deserve a culinary experience that matches the quality of the Majestic Theatre's performances. With its incredible food, unmatched service, and elegant service, our very own ORO Restaurant & Bar is pleased to accommodate you before you head to the theatre for the evening.
